What is a Beaded Weft hair extension?
A Beaded Weft is a Weft of hair that is sewn on a thin thread to create a "Drape" like hair extensions piece. The weft is then sewn on beads that are placed on your natural hair in a row creating a long extension to your own hair that contains a lot of hair within one piece of the weft.
There are different types of wefts, such as hand-tied wefts, machine wefts & genius wefts. Different names are given to this method of application which is similar to a "Weave" such as NBR, IBE, Machine tied wefts, Invisible beaded row, Hidden beaded row, Luna method, KSW, sew-in weaves, Braidless sew ins
How much does it cost?
The cost of the Beaded Weft hair extensions depends on a few different criteria such as, how long you want your hair extensions to be. How much hair you will need to achieve the look? how short or long is your natural hair? Is there a need for a custom color matching to your natural hair? how intricate will it be? to get an exact quote, we recommend making an appointment for a complimentary consultation so we can see your hair and go over the details of what will be done and what to expect, price, etc.
You can also book an appointment online and pay a deposit that will be added to the overall price which we will then be able to do the same during your visit to the salon.

Yes! Beaded Weft extensions are suitable to add length and lots of volume, creating beautiful lush hair.
3) How long can I wear this method of hair extensions?
Maintenance is necessary with the Beaded Weft method as they will last on average 4-6 weeks before having them removed & replaced or moved up. The number of times you can replace or maintain them depends on how well you will care for them at home, on average the Beaded Wefts can last up to 2 years. Going to an experienced and professional hair extensions artist will make a difference in the life of the Weft extensions. Carefully removing, and reinstalling is key, besides home care. We recommend using a moisturizing conditioner such as the Pureology Nano conditioner and a sulfate-free shampoo.

The amount of the Beaded WEfts you will need to add length depends on a few factors. If your natural hair is thick then you will need more than someone with thinner hair. We offer a complimentary consultation to determine your exact hair extension needs and will be able to give you a precise quote as well at that time.
How to care for the Beaded Weft hair extensions method.
1) How do I wash my Beaded Weft extensions?
A clean, sulfate-free shampoo that won't leave a residue on your hair is vital.
We recommend using the Authentic Beauty Concept line as their products are all vegan and cruelty-free! not to mention very clean and will not leave a residue on your own hair.
2) Can I sleep with wet hair?
Sleeping with wet hair, in general, is never a good idea. when hair is wet it can be easily damaged and tangled. we recommend drying your hair first with a microfibre towel, removing the excess moisture first then using a blow dryer to completely dry your hair.
3) Can I shampoo my hair in the sink?
The best way to shampoo your hair extensions is in the shower while your hair is falling naturally. Shampooing upright will add strain on your roots as the weight of the wefts will pull on your natural hair which is not recommended.
4) Which styling products are recommended for hair extensions?
Any products that are alcohol-free and as clean as possible. We do recommend the Authentic Beauty Concepts collection they are certified vegan, clean, cruelty-free, and free of microplastics, mineral oils, parabens, and artificial colorants.
5) Sleeping with hair extensions
To avoid getting your hair tangled and causing damage while sleeping, we recommend brushing your hair extensions with a natural boar bristle brush all the way down to the roots (part your hair in sections if it's thick and hard to get to the scalp) therefore removing the loose hair that we lose naturally every day (100-150 hairs a day ). When wearing hair extensions it is much harder for that loose hair to fall since it can get stuck in the space between your scalp and the wefts. When brushing with a boar bristle or a soft bristle brush, you are helping that hair fall out naturally, therefore, preventing any dreading or knotting, in short preventing damage to your own hair. Please brush carefully. You can use a Wet brush or any brush that has soft flexible bristles to detangle the hair before using the boar bristle brush. We recommend having 2 types of brushes, a Wet brush with soft plastic bristles ( make sure the plastic bristles do not have a ball on the tip) and a Boar bristle or a soft hair-like bristles brush.
Braiding your hair. in 2 loose braids is found to be the most comfortable to sleep in and prevent the hair from tangling while sleeping.
Avoid pulling your hair up in a high ponytail at all times, even when sleeping.
If you prefer to wear your hair in a ponytail, we recommend using a soft scrunchy that is not too tight.
